When Robyn met Rodney

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Robyn loves lots of things.

She loves mud!

As you can see, behind her lie acres and acres of lovely...

... muddy...

... mud!

Robyn also loves to lounge in the sun looking very happy and healthy...

... proud and magnificent...

... or flat out!

But what Robyn loves most... is Rodney!

Rodney is a friend of the family. As you can see, he's a similar size (and shape, and colour) to Robyn, so they're a very well-matched pair of pals.

As Robyn's Volunteer Puppy Trainer Heike explains: "We like going for walks together in the local racecourse area, where we meet with family. Robyn really enjoys playing with her friend Rodney and chasing after her tennis ball."

So, who can jump the highest for said ball?

As we said, they're quite similar, especially at a distance, so the jury is still out on that one. Although, we do have a sneaking feeling perhaps Rodney won, at least on that occasion.

Still, we're sure Robyn didn't mind. She did, after all, get to come back home and have Frog all to herself.

Did we mention that she loves Frog too?

It's all about love with Robyn! Whether it's mud, basking, Rodney or Frog - or Heike, or training, or basically anything and everything - Robyn loves it. She loves life, because she's happy, healthy, and well on the way to becoming a fully trained hearing dog who will one day transform the life of a deaf person.

This is thanks, once again, to you for your generosity in supporting her. Your kindness will make such a difference to a deaf person. Until then, and until your next Pupdate, thank you for sponsoring Robyn!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
