Meet more of Romeo's friends

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Romeo is making plenty of friends in Yorkshire!

He continues with his training, learning important sounds and how to alert deaf people to them. However, a very important part of his training is ensuring he's happy out and about. Our pups accompany deaf people everywhere, and this can mean anything from a tranquil, green park, right through to the hustle and bustle of public transport and shopping malls.

His Bed and Breakfast volunteer Dianne is making sure he's seeing plenty of places and faces. For Romeo, this is one big opportunity to make lots of friends. And here are some of them!

The very fluffy cat below is a ragdoll cat called Gizmo and Romeo loves him a lot. Gizmo is Dianne's friend's cat. Looks like Gizmo is now Romeo's friend too!

This cat is Dianne's own cat, and is called Riggs. Dianne says: "They were playing with a piece of string trying to pinch it from each other and run away with it. The cat eventually won and got what he wanted!"

Dianne also explains the photo below: "The white Jack Russell is called Roxy. She lives on our street and her people were out for the day so she came for a play date, as she and Romeo love playing together and chasing round after each other." We think they make a very cute pair of canine companions! What do you think? Let us know below!

You've met Madeline before. She's Dianne's daughter and is another of Romeo's friends. They like to snuggle on benches from time to time.

And finally, just a picture of Romeo in the bluebells because, well, it's a lovely picture! It was taken at Brayton Barff just outside Selby.

That's all for now. Romeo is such a friendly chap, we're sure we'll have more friend photos to share in the future! Meanwhile, please remember that it's your suppor that is helping him develop, and grow, and continue along the journey to becoming an amazing hearing dog. Thank you.

Brendan Cooper

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
