Rusty loves curtains and cardboard boxes

For this Rusty Pupdate, let's just jump straight in...

According to his Volunteer Dog Trainer Averil, "When Rusty's big bag of food arrived he was very happy to be reunited with a perfectly-sized box!"

One thing we've noticed about photos of Rusty is that they often would suit some sort of caption. What caption would the above photo suit? Something along the lines of 'Wa-heyyyy!" perhaps? Let us know in the comments below!

Averil took plenty of photos of Rusty in said box. It appears he loved it equally outdoors...

... as he did indoors!

Back to Averil: "Rusty has also taken a liking to curtains! I'm not sure if this is replacing the cardboard box."

Surely nothing could replace the carboard box. But when you look at how much Rusty seems to love curtains, maybe Averil's right.

Finally, another prime candidate for a caption!

The other two dogs here are Leo, Averil's own 11-year-old terrier, and Pippin, a Hearing Dogs ambassador dog. They all adore each other, but we're not sure Leo is that impressed here, and Pippin also seems to think perhaps Rusty has commandeered the curtains one time too many. What do you think? Let us know!

That's all for now. As always, a heartfelt thank you from all of us for sponsoring Rusty.

It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
