Let's catch up with Sandie

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Let's see what Sandie's been up to since your last pupdate!

She's visited the vets, and had a thorough check-up.

Yes, all her teeth are in immaculate condition, as you'd expect.

So, she gets a little treat for being such a good girl...

... and the vet can't resist a little nose nudge himself!

Notice how relaxed Sandie is in those photos. Vet visits are really important, because she'll have regular check-ups throughout her working life. As well being well behaved when visiting public places such as libraries and coffee shops, Sandie will also need to take it easy at the vets, on public transport, on the high street... so many places that her future deaf partner might want to visit.

She's been so very well brought up by Catherine however, that none of this is a problem, at all. She's happy wherever she is.

As you can see, happy in the shop at The Grange, our Southern Training Centre nestled among the Chiltern Hills...

... and even quite content to 'help' with the decorating by supervising from the sofa.

Another reason Sandie is so happy is that she has a new toy called, appropriately enough, 'Dolphin'.

Dolphin is her biggest toy yet, so don't worry, Sandie isn't shrinking. It's the toys that are growing!

Sandie, don't you want to share Dolphin...?

That's a very good girl!

And finally, we can't help but notice - yet again - how cute Sandie is.

Aren't you Sandie?

Yes, you are!

Sandie is a lovely girl, leading a lovely life with Catherine. One day she'll change a deaf person's life. Today, it's thanks you to that she's come this far along her training journey.

Until next time, thank you again for sponsoring Sandie!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
