Sandie: Out-takes and about-takes

Posted by Brendan Cooper

In your latest update, we promised you some more photos from the photoshoot - so, here they are! They're not exactly out-takes: it's just that we have more space here to show you 'the full Sandie'.

Sandie was really well-behaved during the shoot, and happy to pose in purple for us.

She did the 'tongue slightly out while looking to her right (our left)' pose...

... the 'look at how dignified I can be' pose...

In every shot, looking absolutely gorgeous, we're sure you'll agree!

Purple does suit her. As does burgundy, of course, which she will wear with pride one day, when she will help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with family, friends, the world around them... with life.

Our deaf partners often tell us how proud they are when other people comment on how smart their hearing dogs look (as well as how well-behaved they are). Just a kind word here, a compliment there, can really make a difference to a deaf person's day, and even spark new friendships.

But it's not all posing against purple. There is still lots of time for play, play, play (and exercise) around training, and Sandie just loves to run!

"What's that? You want me to run towards you? Hurray, I was just about to do that anyway!"

"Do you mind if I bring my favourite feather along?"

One thing (among many) that we love about Sandie is how her ears fly around when she's running!

What a happy puppy she is. We truly believe dogs smile, and Sandie is most definitely smiling here.

She's a beautiful, bright girl, doing so very well because of your kindness in supporting her.

We hope you enjoyed these exclusive, extra shots. We're so proud of Sandie, and you should be too. So, from all of us at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People... thank you very much for sponsoring Sandie.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
