Summer adores her new home

Hello and welcome back to The Puppy Pen!
It’s time to catch up with Summer, your adorable sponsor puppy.
Summer is very excited to see you…
This playful pup is loving life and has settled into her new home brilliantly.
Summer is living with Claire, her wonderful volunteer puppy trainer. Claire and her family will look after Summer in her first year, giving her lots of love and cuddles. Through gentle, positive, reward-based training, they will help her learn to become a happy, confident and well-behaved puppy.
So, what are Summer’s favourite things?
She adores cuddles…
… playing with her new friend Orbit…
… and exploring the garden…
Puppies have a natural sense of curiosity and there will be lots of new sights, smells and textures for Summer to explore as she grows, learning all about the world around her. It’s all very exciting.
Summer also loves her friendly big ‘brother’ Oscar who is showing her the ropes...
It is wonderful when a puppy is brought up and socialised around older dogs. Older dogs can teach younger pups good behaviours and help them to feel safe and relaxed. Oscar will have a great calming influence on Summer and it looks like he has already shown her the perfect snoozing spots…
Talking of snoozing…
… Summer likes to do that a lot…
… because she's so good at it!
