Tyson has been on another holiday

Tyson has been on holiday again! Yaaaay!
This time his fab volunteer puppy trainers took him to the beach where he had a ton of fun playing 'Find it' in the sand.
He couldn't get enough of it!
'Find it' is fun, but it's also still training. It helps Tyson bond more strongly with 'his humans', and it's very stimulating for him. During lockdowns, all our volunteers were encouraged to play these kinds of games with their puppies, so that they could let off a bit of steam. And apart from anything, there's nothing wrong with a plain old bit of fun, now is there?
Tabitha and dad Peter also had plenty of fun watching Tyson run around...
... and Polly even managed to get a spot of training in! We've never seen such a good 'sit' on a beach. It just goes to show how well Tyson's been trained - so much excitement around, but he still reacts to his cues.
This is perfect. It means that his eventual deaf partner will have confidence in him no matter the situation, whether on public transport, a busy street, or even wide open spaces. If they need him to sit, or come back when called, he will. Clever Tyson!
However, we're not sure whether this is him coming back when called, or just running away from the sea.
Sorry Tyson, you know what they say, time and tide wait for no man? Well, time and tide wait for no Tyson!
Apart from fun on the beach, Tyson enjoyed watching cars go by from the holiday cottage.
He also enjoyed plenty of scenic views! He looks very dramatic here, don't you think? Perhaps he's contemplating his future, helping a deaf person to leave loneliness behind.
Back home, Tyson decided he'd developed quite a liking for water, even though he ran away from it earlier. Perhaps a nice big puddle is a bit easier as a first step?
And after all that excitement, a bit of a snooze!
Sweet dreams Tyson!
We couldn't end this Puppy Pen without showcasing this fab drawing Tabitha did of Tyson. She really captures his look! Especially with that tail wag. It's in the style of Rob Biddulph, who is a children's book author and illustrator. What a talent!
That's all for now. We hope you've enjoyed going on holiday with Tyson once again. We enjoyed telling you all about it! And there's no doubt Tyson just enjoyed everything, because that's what he does.
It just remains for us to say thank you again for sponsoring Tyson! See you again soon!
