Vesper, Flash, River – and a carload of dogs

Vesper recently had a play date with a playmate!

It was with River, who is one of Vesper's best friends. Actually, all of Vesper's friends are her best friends, but River is a bestest best friend. She's another hearing dog in training, and together they get on like a house on fire, because even though they're different shapes, sizes, colours and breeds, they're both happy fun dogs.

After a bit of rough-and-tumble, they calmed down a bit...

... and decided to have a bite to eat.

Then, fully energised and, let's face it, a bit hyper, they chased each other up the garden...

... and back down it. Just imagine this repeated several hundred times and you'll get the idea.

And so ended the day - but another one dawned, and this was yet another day of fun with Flash, and River, in the river!

You've met Flash before. We introduced you to Flash in your previous Pupdate. He's another of Vesper's bestest best friends, and they look magnificent together.

This time, they all met up near the Munden Estate, a wonderful private local estate that offers public access for walkers. It's these kind of fantastic places our volunteers take the dogs to, making sure they have plenty of healthy exercise while also giving them lots of unique experiences.

This experience was certainly unique!

The trainer just wanted to make sure the dogs were happy in different cars, so don't worry, they weren't all packed in like that! This was taken at the changeover. Looking back, perhaps it would have made sense to take dogs out before putting them in, but never mind, it makes for a great photo opportunity.

Once the carload of dogs had been untangled, off they went! Straight into the river. Well, River led the way, obviously.

And out they came!

As with the garden photos, just imagine this repeated over and over again.

And at the end of the day, what did Vesper do? She gave us the perfect shot for Tongue-out Tuesday!
