Zara and Honey love each other

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Zara has plenty of 'me' time living with her volunteer puppy socialisers, called Louise and Gary. Here you can see her just taking it easy - of course, not in any of the specially prepared, soft, expensive puppy beds that they've made available for her, but in a plastic box that she just takes a shine to. She seems to fit in it quite well, at least while she's her current size.

But it's not all about 'me' time. Sometimes it's 'us' time! For a few weeks, Louise and Gary were actually looking after two of our sponsor pups at the same time! You can see them both below - Zara is on the right, and the other pup, called Honey, is on the left. The photo below was taken at our Spring Open Day, and they were very content in each other's company.

They loved being out and about too. Here's another shot of them both looking quite dramatic - Honey in the foreground, Zara behind. Zara has such a recognisable face, it's very sweet and delicate.

Meanwhile, back at the Spring Open Day...

As time went by, they became inseparable. Zara is on the right again in the photo below. She's not so much Honey's right-hand man as her left-paw puppy.

... and it's back to 'me' time for Zara. There's that delicate, quizzical face of hers again. She definitely looks like a puppy who's having a lovely time with Gary and Louise - and Honey, of course!

That's all for now. Thank you for being her sponsor, and please please please don't forget to comment below. Let us know what you think of Zara's progress! Ask us anything!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
