Zara poses – and flies

Zara has moved on from living with Gary and Louise, her volunteer puppy socialisers, and has just started her advanced soundwork training. This is where she learns how to alert people to important sounds, such as the doorbell or fire alarm. We will tell you all about this in your next printed update, but here are some of the last photos they sent of her looking, happy, healthy, and magnificent!

This is Zara in the fine winter sun, among the leaves in the fields around where Gary and Louise live. She's clearly very happy out and about.

During their walk, they managed to get another snap of her looking into the distance - viewing her future as a hearing dog perhaps?

Again, in the fields, this time in slightly warmer looking conditions, but with that 'happy dog with tongue sticking out' face.

Zara certainly knows how to strike a pose, and here she is again, showing how lovely she is. Everyone exclaims on what a pretty dog she is, and you can see why!

And finally, something a bit less restrained: Zara flying. You did know our dogs can fly didn't you...? She's slighly out of focus here, but all credit to Gary and Louise even managing to get her in the frame!
