Three videos of Zara having holiday fun

Posted by Brendan Cooper

By now you should know all about Zara's life with her Bed and Breakfast volunteers. Basically, she's having a lovely life with them! They recently went on holiday together, which we'll tell you all about in your next update. They took lots of photos (again, coming soon in your next update) but in the meantime here are some videos of Zara having a fantastic time!

First up, Abi and Thomas met up with Honey and her recipient Katharine. Honey was also a sponsor pup, and today she helps Katharine run her soft-furnishings business by nudging a pink Post-it to tell her when people enter the shop. But Honey was also a firm favourite of Zara's, because they lived together when they had the same volunteer puppy socialisers!

Needless to say Zara and Honey were absolutely delighted to meet up again - as the video below shows!

After chasing each other around and around and around and around (and around and around) they decided to go for a swim. The pond looked ok at first, but on closer inspection turned out to be smelly mud more than fresh water! Our two lovely golden Labs became dark, smelly monsters...

After saying goodbye to Honey, Abi and Thomas tried to clean Zara a bit. They found the most success by encouraging Zara to play in the sea - not that she needed much encouragement!

So there you have Zara - and Honey too, of course - having a wonderful holiday. Your next update will come through soon with more about this, including some great photos. Until then, thank you so much for sponsoring her!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
