Our sign language courses are hugely popular and we were excited to learn about other ways in which we could support the deaf community. We are inspired by Hearing Dogs and the work that they do, we want to support their efforts and connect more people with more hearing dogs."

Who are the International Open Academy?

The International Open Academy are online learning specialists that offer more than 200 online courses in a wide range of subjects including American and British Sign Language. Students can study at home and at their own pace, which is why more than 800,000 students from 139 countries have already joined IOA. On completion students instantly have access to their newly earned certificate. All courses are ICOES accredited, many are CPD accredited and we have over 600 positive reviews on Trustpilot and a 5 star rating.

How are the International Open Academy supporting Hearing Dogs?

The International Open Academy recently launced a new online BSL course alongside YouTube star Jazzy Whipps - Hearing Dogs for Deaf People were delighted to receive 20% of all sales from the launch to help us train more life changing companions!

Isolation and loneliness are prevalent now more than ever and so when the International Open Academy learnt of the work of Hearing Dogs, they were immediately drawn to helping us. They constantly receive heartwarming stories from the students of our American Sign Language course of how the course has literally changed their lives as well as those around them. Releasing the British Sign Language course quickly became a top priority for them and they saw the opportunity to help Hearing Dogs and do mutual good by the two organisation partnering for the launch.
