RWE

"We would like to support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People so we can give something back by helping to make a difference to people's lives."

Who are RWE?

RWE Generation runs one of the largest flexible power plant fleets in Germany, as well as highly efficient power plants in the UK and the Netherlands.

"As one of Europe's biggest energy providers, RWE bear great responsibility for the environment and society, which results in a commitment we live by every day. This commitment not only means upholding international standards for climate protection, human rights, occipation and safety and fighting corruption, it is also a commitment to society and our stakeholders. This includes our work to support both national and local charities throughout each year. RWE Generation UK would like to support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People so we can give something back by helping to make a difference to peoples' lives."

How are RWE supporting Hearing Dogs?

RWE have chosen us as their Charity of the Year and have therefore made a generous donation to name a puppy. In order to decide the name of the puppy, RWE ran a competition between their colleagues to suggest a name, with the winners choices being passed on to our team to make the final decision.

RWE's kind support will enable us to train and match more dogs to help deaf people leave lonliness behind and reconnect with life. Additionally, the company will also benefit from the partnership: "We benefit through the positive association with an organisaiton doing such important work. It helps our employees to feel part of something wider than our business, and illustrates our values as a socially responsible organisation."
