Royal Canin Life-Changing Partnership Award
Thirty year old Sophie Biebuyck had a prosperous music career ahead of her before her hearing began to deteriorate. She started to lose her independence and confidence - until 'joyful' hearing dog Rusty dramatically improved her life.

Young Partners Award
Kaitlyn was born severely premature, resulting in her being profoundly deaf. Hearing dog Rowan has helped 12-year-old Kaitlyn to overcome the difficulties caused by deafness - making her happier, more independent and confident.

Community Champion 2016
Alan Lawrenson, 29, is the worthy winner of our Community Champion award. Alan's dedication to run a number of gruelling ultra marathons in order to reach his £10,000 goal has been inspiring.

Specsavers Lifeline Award
Hannah struggled with her deafness, and even tried to take her own life. Since being partnered with her hearing dog Ayla, she feels she has her identity back and is looking to the future with hope and excitement.

Desmond Wilcox Volunteer of the Year
Our 15th Desmond Wilcox Volunteer of the Year Award winners are Jean and her late husband Phil Todd. Jean and Phil have been volunteering with Hearing Dogs for years, and the loss of Phil was felt across the entire organisation.

Open Doors Award
Hotel chain Premier Inn are the winner of our ‘Open Doors’ award in recognition of outstanding accessibility and the warm welcome it offers deaf people and their hearing dogs.
